Memorable Moment #4- What if we fall in love?

After months of strategic planning to find a time to meet up, months of flirty looks (but not too many), months of texting (but no phone calls), and months of thinking of ways to see her again, we finally found ourselves sitting in a busy bar, two women staring at each other, feeling completely unaware of our surroundings. Into the night she leaned into me and said, “What if we fall in love?”

And then we did! We ‘ve been together for three years now, married for one.

Note from the artist: This was the first story that was from a true stranger. I’ve never met these people in real life. It’s an exciting feeling to get to create art for someone you have never met. Especially the first time!

I wonder if they are still together? This painting was made in 2018. So much can change. I didn’t realize how much time would make this project better. It’s why I eventually changed the name to Memorable Moments. The hopeless romantic in me says they have lived happily ever after, but also if not I hope this moment is still a magical moment in their memory.
